My 9 year old son enjoyed this as well as his friends.

These are basically spinning tops that you control by a magnetic piece of plastic you place on your forefinger.

The tops work great and are really interesting looking. (They almost remind me of a Bakugan toy.) I love the launcher that comes with them. It works great and gets the tops spinning perfectly.

My only complaint is that the magnetic finger pieces don’t seem to work all that well. You are supposed to use them to control the top, but I had a difficult time moving mine around. My son fared only slightly better.

Still, he loved the toy because he and his friends could “battle,” meaning, crash their tops into one another until one stopped spinning. In fact, I don’t recommend this toy unless you buy two of them. Most of the fun is being able to battle your friends.

This toy is surprisingly REALLY GREAT! I bought it on a whim to even up the present piles for Hanukkah. My son LOVES it and what is even better is that his siblings can use it, too.

There are plenty of toys that I have bought that have been shoved on a shelf and not used. This one is great, though. I bought two more starter sets so all 4 of the kids have their own because it has brought much peace to my life.
