Elefun Bought this toy for a niece and a nephew to share and two nephews to share (all under 4 years old). They loved it. It is over fairly quick. Most of the butterfly ties come out in the first 20 seconds, but you always have a few that get caught inside the trunk and take their time coming out. “I see one coming!” is a common exclamation by the kids. My other favorite is “Wee-woad” (Reload)! And you will “wee woad” quite often, but the kids love to do it themselves (they just gather up the butterflies and put them back inside the Elfun’s head (the trunk pulls off very easily). In a few minutes, they are doing it all on their own. They quickly learn where the on/off button is and how to take off and put on the trunk.
I was actually quite impressed with the cartoon DVD that comes along with the game of Elfun and his safari friends (Giraffe from Giraffe a laff limbo, a panda, a gator from gator golf, so forth and so on) It is a very cute (about 30 min. cartoon story) that has some sarcasm and wit for the adults even…
Not sure about the life of the blower inside elfun, time will tell I guess…but overall a fun purchase for the little ones. Promotes hand eye coordination, counting, and color recognition (red, yellow, green, and blue anyway).
