Blokus 3D Game If you like Blokus, you will probably like Blokus 3D.
After receiving this game at Christmas, we used it several times at parties.
It doesn’t take too long to learn, and is a great game for adults and children to play together. You choose a template for each round, and the template determines the size and shape of the tower that can be built. The goal is to have the most blocks of your color on the uppermost levels.
It is easiest to play with the simpler templates first, and then move on to the more complex ones once your players have gotten the hang of it. As they play more games, they start to learn strategies to block their opponents and position themselves to win.
We played with a group of adults, and children down to age 5. While the 5 year old played a pretty straightforward game, I noticed that our 9 and 10 year olds were able to understand and use more subtle strategies.
One drawback, it takes a slightly steady hand. A bump in the wrong place can cause the tower to come tumbling down, and end the game prematurely. We kept thinking that some sort of magnetic design might work better.
All in all – a fun game!
Blokus 3D Game This exciting addition to the Blokus line is a game of 3-D strategy that sharpens spatial awareness and critical thinking skills. Players strategize to outwit their opponents while constructing 4 unique building plans, block by block. After the last move, each player counts the number of their individual squares visible from above. The player with the most squares is the winner.
