Magna-Tiles Translucent Colors 100 pieces I don’t usually write reviews, but this product is soooo worth it. I have 4 kids ranging from 1 – 5 and they all love this toy. Even the little ones, they mostly stack the pieces while the older kids make really creative constructions. I actually like to build with it too It is a great family activity. We have a lot of toys in our house and this one gets the most play time, by far.

Knex Value Tub 400 pieces We got this set for my 7-year-old son for Christmas. He has been spending way too much time on electronic games, and we wanted him to use his imagination and create something. This turned out to be just the right thing. The first thing he built was a little Ferris wheel. He only needed a little help with some stiff pieces that didn’t want to snap into place for him. He followed the illustrations and created the Ferris wheel on his own. We were impressed!

Okay, it’s been years and I’m still buying Polly Pockets for all the preschool girls in my life. They can’t get enough. Why you ask? The combination of having to use their fine motor skills (fingers and hands to manipulate the tiny pieces)along with the social/dramatic play that the Polly Pocket toys offers, keep the kidlings enthralled with this product. I never set out to buy Polly, but the children, (which are many in my sphere) continue to love and cherish the Polly experience. So there, I’m a Polly advocate. If the kids are smiling, playing, laughing and not watching tv, I’m in! Two cheers for Polly Pockets Puppy Parade.

The set is great but there were five small pieces missing. Amazon were quick to send another set from which we were able to take the missing pieces and we then returned the set to Amazon.

My son enjoyed putting this together with his dad, but Dad actually had to do more of the work. Perhaps with more practice my 5 year old will be able to put together more on his own. Over all, this is a good toy and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a creative gift.
