When I first opened it, I thought the dice were a little small at 7/16″, but my second thought is that they are the right size for the game. Mine came in a fairly heavy tie-top canvas bag.
The shaker cups I received are wood, not plastic like the item description says. They are a nice dark walnut color, and seem quite sturdy. The insides are not smooth, but not disturbingly rough either. I actually found them to be a nice surprise.
Two small details to note about the hinges – my game came with one extra brass screw rattling around inside the box…I’m assuming it’s a deliberate addition. It was nice for the manufacturer to think of, but it could have easily been lost if I hadn’t heard it while I was trying to figure out how to open the outer cardboard box (which opens from the side). Also, when the lid is open, it lays flat, not tilted up like in the photo. Probably irrelevant, but might affect your display options. And you will probably want to display this game on your coffee table, just like it says on the box, as it is a very neat little item.
Overall quality: 5 stars. I can’t rate the enjoyment value, as I haven’t played it yet – I bought it mainly as a unique display piece.
